Where we are this week
A very difficult post to write
I’ve been reading some cracking books lately. It’s my turn to host the u3a book group and my choice was The Reading List
Had the cookery group round to my house on Tuesday, we meet on the 1st Tuesday of the month. We have a lot of fun gathered around my kitchen island cooking 3 or 4 recipes each month which participants bear off home in their wicker baskets, just like school cooking...
Went to Matilda the musical. What a great show! And I can finally sing again, I’ve missed it so much!
The book club I’m in has rules – we all take it in turns to choose a book; we can’t have read it before; and it must cost £5-£6 maximum. This month, we all had to choose three books and we’ll decide which ones we’re going to read. I liked the sound of many of them and I now have an enormous pile of books ‘to be read’!
Wondering what to read next? Here are some more books I’ve been reading lately, and enjoyed. I’ve read 3 Claire North books, and found out how you might be immune to HIV/AIDS
Can’t sleep tonight
We had a large loft and decided that we’d like to convert that as well. We wanted a bedroom each end and a bathroom in the middle. Nothing complicated, but my goodness, it took us a long time to get the go-ahead.
I went to a charity shop today and found some lovely things for not much cash
The Diary Of A Bookseller – shall I join the Random Book Club?
I won best Frugal Food Blog at the SHOMOs 2019! So pleased!
