In my travels around Heathfield, where I live, I popped into the greengrocers. They have a cheapy box there for stuff they need to sell quickly, super cheap – and there were these yummy tomatoes.
Then I needed to decide what I was going to do with them, so I sat down with Lyndsey Bareham’s marvellous book The Big Red Book Of Tomatoes. Yes, it is a book containing only tomato recipes, many of them have become family favourites. Including the Tomato Curry I made with some of these whoppers.
At lunchtime I scooped out one of the tomatoes and stuffed it, have had that twice now. One was used as a Greek Salad, post to follow
Have also had a couple chopped up as a side dish. Need to decide what other recipes to use them in now, only 8 more to go!
