We got married on 15th August, the 38th anniversary of our first meeting. We met through Dateline, remember that? For all you youngsters, it was the hand written version of online dating. That matching of our base values has held us in good stead over the years. The things that are important to us are, in the main, important to both of us. They were then, and they are now.
We had to wait nearly 8 weeks for the wedding pictures, and I think he rushed them in the end. Still, there are some lovely shots, and here are just a very few of them.

I still have the printout that my husband was sent with 4 names and telephone numbers on with my name circled ( by him ),he was working on the oil rigs at the time so we didn’t see a lot of each other to start but after our 3rd date ( a weekend in a hotel in Plymouth ) he proposed!
Do you know, I think you may be the first people I know that have also met via Dateline!
