Well we definitely have robin chicks. When both birds were out collecting food, I had a quick peep at the nest and what did I see but a little head and beak peeking over the edge. Very excited I rushed to get the picture taking equipment, and by the time I had got back, there was no sign 🙁 So we nearly had a picture, but not quite. Can’t wait to see them out and about.
The WI lunch was this afternoon and we had a lovely time. The discussion of the Resolutions was the usual lively affair. Both the Shepherds pie and cheesecake went down well. I had, as usual, allowed a few extra portions, and, as usual, a few extra people arrived. Several people asked me for the recipe for the cheesecake and I took mischievous delight in telling them how little it cost 😉
When I got back, I got straight out of the glad rags, into some jeans and got out in the garden to put up the bean poles and plant the runner beans. I really need to do a LOT of weeding, but it won’t happen tomorrow. Hopefully on Friday.
This evening, I tried out a small jacket potato and salad with the basics cheese spread on the potato. It took a little while, but the cheese spread melted into the hot potato and made a very tasty filling.
It;2#817&s like cleaning out your closet. With each thing you get rid of, you make room for the thing you really want and need. 🙂
I’m hoping we will get to see them learning to fly 🙂
We had robin chicks in our garden one year. So cute! Such pretty little things with their yellow and brown baby feathers. Watching them learn to fly was awesome.
