Grate the ginger on the finest holes. No need to peel
1 tblsp ginger
Put the grated ginger into a small tea pot
Pour over the boiling water
450 ml boiling water
Leave to steep for several minutes
Enjoy hot, with a little honey and a lemon slice if you like
1 slice lemon, 0.5 tsp honey
Or enjoy cold, with lots of ice
Notes
For a spicier hit, use a tsp of dried ginger per 450ml boiling water.If you like to peel ginger when cooking, the peelings can be used here to make a lovely pot of fresh ginger tea.
