Blue Cheese musings

As you can see, I have been writing the price of things on them so I don’t forget when I come to price something. It was £1.39, for 215g.
So I’m thinking, maybe half for a 4 serving quiche with 2 or 3 eggs, carrots, onions and peas in it, a quarter for a 2 serving pasta sauce of some kind, and a quarter for a pasta or rice or couscous salad, with the cheese crumbled in.
Or how about a blue cheese sauce with macaroni, carrots, onions and broccoli with crunchy breadcrumbs on top. Or a variation of Nigella Lawsons Double Potato Halloumi Bake, which is DELICIOUS by the way, using blue cheese in place of the halloumi. Nigella’s recipe uses sweet potato, ordinary potato and onions, roasted in garlicky oil, then topped with the cheese. Quick, easy and wonderful. I think the blue cheese would work beautifully there.
Or Spring Greens and Blue Cheese Risotto, sounds unusual and rather good.
Or a potato, onion and blue cheese frittata, or a little bit sprinkled on pizza
ooooh, what to do, what to do.
whaddya think?
Take care of your family and your budget
Before putting together the meal planners, Lesley surveyed what was needed. Of the existing 14 budget meal plans, most are cheap meals for 2 people so can be sized up or down. Others are cheap family meals for 4 people, or meals for one
